Welcome to our Website!

Do you have German ancestors who settled in the northwest Ohio counties of Defiance, Henry, Fulton, Paulding, Putnam, and Williams?

Many of these ancestors came from the Luneburg Heath area of Germany in Lower Saxony, particularly the villages around the Lutheran parish of Visselhövede, Germany.  As these Germany Lutheran ancestors left their homes and families (mainly during the periods from 1845 to 1855 and 1866 to 1880) to travel to the new country of America, they brought with them not only the language and customs of their fatherland, but also their virtues of hard work and devotion to God and their family.  Come learn about these German ancestors who became an integral part of the fabric of the United States of America and help us to commemorate that legacy.

Our facility is located in the Lutheran Social Services Building at T-793 State Route 66, south of Archbold, Ohio, directly across the road from Four County Career Center.
